“Smoking Ban”

    The new smoking ban is enforced by the State Bureau of Health Protection Services which is the agency responsible for restaurant inspections. There are apparently no criminal penalties involved with non-compliance. In fact compliance will be determined at the time of inspections based in part on the existence of “No Smoking” signs and the absence of ashtrays.

Nye County has no health district and no health department so enforcement will come from the State Bureau’s Clark County office. Complaints should be referred to them.
